The Translation Games has been THE event not to miss for both translation students and professional translators since 2006.

At the Games, you'll hone your translation skills while having a lot of fun at the same time. This is where the next generation of professional translators compete in a friendly environment, and network with professors, researchers, employers and future colleagues.

Excellence, creativity, teamwork, learning, and even just having fun translating are what these Games are all about. You'll try your hand translating a variety of genres from administrative texts to advertising, subtitling, dubbing and songs.

At the closing celebration, four awards are presented to the deserving winners:

▷ the Games Cup, awarded to the team that wins the most challenges

▷ two awards for individual translations, one to English and the other to French

▷ finally, the "Gerry" award, given by past participants to the team demonstrating the best team spirit through their positive attitude, active participation, and friendly approach.
